AMD A520 Chipset Specifications Overview
AMD has released details and full specifications of its newly launched A520 chipset, which will be using the AM4 socket. The company has also mentioned that it will be compatible with the Zen 3 architecture and future zen 3 architecture based ryzen 4000 CPUs and APUs, as well as with current 3000 series. It can also use PCIe 3.0 lanes and supports 5 USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports.

However, there is no support for overclocking in this latest entry level chipset from AMD. About twenty A520 motherboards are launched by partners in the market, and most of them are based on uATX form factor. The A520 chipset becomes more important than A320 because of its support to future CPUs and APUs from AMD which are based on Zen 3 architecture. You can also get additional information from comaptibility table below.
Note that, A520 boards aren’t compatible with the AMD Ryzen 3 3200G and Ryzen 5 3400G as these APUs from AMD are based on Zen+ architecture.
